The Unbelievable Dispatch — Standalone Satire Pilots

SATIRE / FICTION. All people, places, organizations, events and quotations in these pilots are invented.

The Unbelievable Dispatch visits Bellwether-on-Nowhere, where a council can defer Tuesday, a ghost can argue with a library catalog and a floating key can still be waiting for its destination. Two standalone newspaper-style pilots introduce a recurring fictional cast through sixteen original short stories.

Working edition 0.1 — November 3, 2026. Two pilots, eight stories per pilot. Each pilot is four pages in both US Letter and A4 PDF, with an editable Word version.

These are standalone fictional publications. They do not establish a newsletter, monthly publication or recurring release schedule.

Pilot 01 — Tuesday Deferred

The council postpones a day, a directions office adds another window, and the town’s impossible institutions try to keep ordinary records.

Pilot 02 — Tuesday Returns With Receipts

Tuesday returns, a sign points to itself, and the town learns that a receipt proves delivery rather than universal agreement.

Reading these pilots

The absurd town and recurring characters are original fictional teaching and comic devices. The stories are not real news, official instructions, commercial offers or allegations about actual people.

The PDFs are untagged and not fillable; the Word editions are editable. Native Word/font behavior, physical printing and assistive-technology use have not been tested. The PDF layouts and text were checked locally; try a sample page before printing.
